econews. Between 2016 and 2025, trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Serbia grew nearly ninefold, from $1.4 million to $12 million. According to UN Comtrade and the State Statistics Committee, Serbia’s exports to Uzbekistan reached $26.4 million by the end of last year. The primary imported products included:
Mineral fuels and petroleum products – $6.11 million;
Industrial and engineering equipment – $4.95 million;
Aluminum and its alloys – $4.28 million;
Chemical products and paints – $2.83 million.
Uzbekistan, in turn, primarily supplies the Serbian market with textile products – yarn and ready-made garments – as well as copper and agricultural goods. The two sides aim to increase bilateral trade to $50 million in the near future.
ICT and IT Sector: Thanks to the strategic Front Office and Back Office model, the two countries have established a complementary geostrategic partnership in information technology. Serbia serves as a gateway to the European Union market, while Uzbekistan is recognized as a key IT hub in Central Asia.
During the 2025-2026 business forums, in collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan, the Front Office and Back Office project was successfully implemented.
