Economic inequality is often treated as a problem of money and wealth. But Sally Kohn argues that its consequences go much further. When wealth and power become concentrated in the hands of a small group, democracy itself can be weakened. To protect democracy, she says, societies need to rethink how political and economic power is distributed.
