President Emomali Rahmon Attends Grand Cultural Celebration of Tajikistan’s Independence

econews. At the outset, President Emomali Rahmon warmly congratulated all those present on the occasion of the great and historic celebration of the 35th anniversary of the independence and freedom of our beloved Motherland.

It was emphasized that 35 years ago, our beloved Tajikistan gained independence, enabling the Tajik people to exercise sovereignty, determine their own independent path of progress and development, and revive national and cultural values and the ancient traditions of statehood.

President Emomali Rahmon noted that it was precisely peace, stability and social tranquility that created a solid foundation for the development and prosperity of the Motherland and the sustainable advancement of the state.

According to the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, amid the unstable and crisis-ridden conditions of the modern world, peace and stability, national unity and social tranquility are the most precious blessings for expanding constructive efforts and ensuring a dignified life, and safeguarding them is the duty of every citizen of Tajikistan.

“Precisely with the aim of safeguarding peace and tranquility, which, particularly in recent years, has become an urgent issue for the international community, the United Nations General Assembly recently adopted the resolution entitled ‘International Decade of Strengthening Peace for Future Generations, 2027–2036’, proposed by Tajikistan,” the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, stated.

It was noted that this initiative represents the contribution of our independent country to strengthening global peace and, naturally, is a source of pride for its people, who only a few decades ago endured a devastating imposed civil war.

With regard to the construction of the magnificent National Stadium, President Emomali Rahmon stated that, as part of the constructive and development efforts undertaken in preparation for the sacred 35th anniversary of Tajikistan’s state independence, we witnessed yet another memorable event today — the opening of the National Stadium, with a seating capacity of 30,000.

It was emphasized that all the development and improvements achieved to date in our beloved country, including in its capital, the city of Dushanbe, have been made possible through the blessings of independence and freedom.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, called on the people of the country to appreciate the invaluable blessings of independence and freedom, lasting peace and stability, and national unity, and to make every effort, through unity and solidarity, to preserve and strengthen the foundations of the independence of our beloved Motherland.

At the conclusion of his speech, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the executive authorities of the capital city of Dushanbe, the heads of the regions, cities and districts, and all the people who have contributed to the development of the country, for their dedicated and patriotic efforts, for making the city more beautiful and prosperous, and for their active participation in the festive events.

Following the speech by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, a theatrical performance dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, entitled “35 Years of Destiny-Shaping Achievements,” was held at the National Stadium.

The grand festive theatrical performance was divided into several chapters, including “Along the Path of the Nation’s Civilization,” “Food Security,” “Energy Independence,” “Overcoming the Communication Deadlock,” “Industry — the Basis of Progress,” “Water for Sustainable Development” — highlighting the adoption of the relevant United Nations General Assembly resolution — and “Advancing Digital Development.”

The concert programme featured poems by renowned Tajik poets Davlat Safar, Ozarakhsh, Gulnazar Keldi, Rustami Vahhob, Behruzi Zabehullo, Ozari Orif, Ranoiy Muboriz, Kamol Nasrullo, Shamsiddini Nuriddin, Nurulloi Orif, Nazri Yazdon, Nihoni, Ato Mirhoja, Khairandesh, Saydoi Shayo, Tolibi Luqmon, Muhammad Ghoib and Nizom Qosim, including “Partavi Iftikhor,” “Gulbihisht,” “Dar Zinarohi Istiqlol,” “National Anthem of Tajikistan,” “Oriyoiyam,” “Somoniyam,” “Sozu Navoi Vatan,” “Nomai Iqbol,” “Baqoi Millat,” “Khalq va Peshvo,” “Vatani Purganj,” “Tajikistan,” “Dushanbe — City of Flowers,” “Dushanbe — City of Youth,” and “Symbol of Independence.”

Renowned artists, masters of the arts and popular singers Rustam Dulloev, Mehrinigori Rustam, Fotima Mashrabova, Tahmina Niyozova, Amirjon Ruziev, Nigina Amonqulova, Davlat and Sohib Nazri, Komiljon Zaripov, Tojiddin Rahimzoda, Gulasal Pulodova, Haqnazar Alovatov, Rahmatullo and Firdavs Hoshimovs, Muhammadrafi and Noziyai Karomatullo, Loik Kholov, Shohin and Jannatullo Abdulloevs, Sitorai Karomatullo, Abdulkhair Muminov, performers of the Sadriddin Ayni State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre Hayotjon Hamrokhonov and Manizha Nazarova, Hikmatullo Anvarov, performers of the Fazliddin Shahobov State Ensemble “Shashmaqom,” Mijgona Ibrohimova, Yasmina Alidodova, Madina Aqnazarova, Dilnoza Karimova, winner of international competitions Farrukh Hasanzoda, and the choir of the Sadriddin Ayni State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre performed beautiful songs accompanied by music composed by renowned Tajik composers for the guests of the cultural event.

The festive atmosphere at the National Stadium was further enhanced by compositions by renowned composers Daler Tilloev, Fayzali Umar, Nazira Hamdamova, Farhod Zikir, Sulaymon Yudakov, Nosir Safarzoda, Tobish Hiloli, Ismoil Nazri, Furqat Saidzoda, Shavkat Umarov, Haqnazar Alovatov, Rahmatullo Hoshimov, Olimjon Solizoda, Iskandar Tohirov, Zafar Rahimi, Abdulkhair Muminov, Muboraksho Jumaev, Ubaydullo Ibrohimzoda, Nasim Rajabov, Yoqub Abdulloev, Muhammad Juraev, Bakhtiyor Haitov and Zayniddin Karimov.
