Afghanistan’s Strong Security Is a Shared Interest and Need of the Region and the World

econews. According to a statement from the Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad, Sardar Ahmad Shakib made the remarks at a ceremony hosted by the embassy to commemorate the fifth anniversary of Victory Day.

He said, “We are confident that this new phase of Afghanistan and its strong security are not only in the interest and need of the Afghan people, but also serve the shared interest and common need of the region and the world.”

The Afghan ambassador added: “A secure and stable Afghanistan provides broad opportunities for regional connectivity, economic cooperation, and shared security, and can play a significant role in strengthening peace and prosperity in the region. Our region is among those in the world with some of the greatest and most promising potential for growth, connectivity, and economic cooperation.”
