Türkiye, Azerbaijan strengthen ties through reconstruction and regional cooperation
econews . Türkiye's institutions and companies continue to support development in Azerbaijan's liberated territories as the two countries deepen their strategic alliance.

econews. Turkish Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli has highlighted the close strategic ties between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, affirming that Turkish institutions and companies continue to contribute directly to the reconstruction and development of territories liberated from occupation.

"Our institutions and companies are also taking part, through their dedicated efforts, in the development and reconstruction drive in territories freed from the darkness of occupation," Yumakli said.

Yumakli attended an official reception marking Azerbaijan's November 8, Victory Day, hosted by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara at the Gazi Officers' Guesthouse.

Addressing attendees, he emphasised that relations between Ankara and Baku remain guided by the foundational principle of "One nation, two states", adding that Türkiye shares fully in the joy of Azerbaijan's victory.

Shusha Declaration

Under the leadership of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan made history in 44 days, Yumakli said, paying tribute to fallen soldiers and thanking veterans who helped reunite Azerbaijani lands with their homeland.

He stressed that relations between both nations were formally elevated to the level of an alliance through the Shusha Declaration, describing the pact as a vital step in deepening bilateral cooperation well beyond a joint declaration of political will.

Türkiye and Azerbaijan will continue working in tandem to carry their partnership to higher levels, he affirmed.

Yumakli added that the military victory in Karabakh has opened a historic window of opportunity for establishing lasting peace, stability, and security across the South Caucasus.

"Transforming our region into a basin of prosperity where lasting stability and eternal peace prevail is the greatest responsibility on all our shoulders," he said.

He concluded by noting that regional cooperation mechanisms initiated by the two countries' presidents reflect a shared vision serving the prosperity of all regional populations, before extending his congratulations to Azerbaijan on its Victory Day.
